Apart from the conjectures on how rich this tot-sized diva already is, the microblogging world couldn't get enough of her wacky name - Blue Ivy Carter. It was trending all day - with 240 posts every minute - as netizens tried to make head or tail of the strange-sounding name.
"It spells the 'Devil's daughter' in Latin when you flip it backwards," said one. "It's an acronym for Illuminati's Very Youngest," speculated another. The gossip tabloids were already yelling out that she was 'The Spawn of Satan'. But it seems that the name Ivy is actually a clever play upon IV-y - 'four' being the couple's favourite number. Both their birthdays are on the fourth of the month. So in love with number 4 are they, that they even wed on the fourth!
Needless to say, numerologists are already having a field day. "In Blue Ivy's case, 1 + 7 + 2012 = 2020, and surely we don't have to tell you that 2 + 2 = 4!," a celebrity gossip website reported. Also, 'Blue' is meant to signify Jay Z's favourite colour, according to reports.
