Sophie Ellis-Bextor: Robbie Williams said I had a face like a satellite dish

Sophie Ellis-Bextor admits she gets a lot of stick for her unconventional looks.

The singer says she tries to brush off the nasty comments.

'Robbie Williams said I had a face like a satellite dish,' recalls Sophie, 31.

'It didn't bother me too much. I just reasoned he was miffed because I declined to support him on tour.

'Frank Skinner greeted me with "Why the wide face?" On that occasion I fought back and gave as good as I got.'

Sophie says she's happy with her image.

'Ultimately I don't care if people think I look a bit odd,' she tells Live.

'All my favourite female pop stars - Debbie Harry, PJ Harvey, Bjork - are unconventional-looking and slightly bonkers.'
